Hello I came up from Melbourne to participate in the Spring Cycle and just want to say a big thank you to all the volunteers...great job. The great weather on the day made it pretty special too and the contacts I hade with Bicycle NSW staff before the event were all efficient and friendly so well done!!!

Hi there everyone at Spring Cycle and Bicycle NSW. I just wanted to drop you all a note to say a huge thank you for organising the Spring Cycle yesterday. My son and I had the best time together riding across Sydney on a perfect day. The route and the scenery were just fantastic and we both saw parts of the city and surrounds that we'd probably never have found by ourselves let alone weave together into a 50km ride. All in all, it was a really inspiring day for the two of us. We're counting down the days 'til next years ride when we will bring the rest of the family along with us. Thank you all for making this event possible !!!
Sincerely Murray Herbert

This was my first Spring Cycle, and won't be my last! Overall I thought it was a great day, well organised, well promoted, and really fun throughout.

I just want to congratulate everyone at Bicycle NSW for the two very well run events last week, the National Ride to Work Day and the Sydney Spring Cycle. What a huge effort it must have been to coordinate two big events at the same time, as a participant I can tell you that both events went off smoothly. It was a fabulous to be with a large group of transport cyclists at the sponsored Lend-lease breakfast on NRTWD, the camaraderie, food, bike facilities and the great speakers was awesome, cycling to work can be a solitary experience so it was inspiring to be in a large group of like minded people. The Sydney Spring Cycle was also a great day out due to the other riders, the well run rest stations, friendly marshals, interesting events at the Overflow all combined to make it an enjoyable morning ride. So congratulations again! Cheers,

HAVE A GRAND DAY OUT!
Ever wanted to take in Sydney’s beautiful scenery while cycling across the Harbour Bridge traffic free? Now is your chance to jump on a bike and painlessly tick this off your to do list.

The City of Sydney Spring Cycle is Sydney’s most popular annual recreational cycling event where thousands of cyclists of all ages and abilities join together to enjoy a Sunday cycle through some of the most picturesque surroundings of the city.

This year the fun ride takes place on Sunday 21 October starting at St Leonards Park North Sydney, heads across the Harbour Bridge and finishes on the fabulous Olympic Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park. It is going to be a great day for the whole family! With three start site options and ride distances from 5 to 50 kilometres, anyone can join in and be part of this great day out!

At the finish, Sydney Olympic Park will be ready to welcome riders with a goodies bag. Live entertainment will be on stage for all to enjoy and lots of hands-on activities to try. Now that’s all-day family entertainment, plus the chance to ride over the Sydney Harbour Bridge in style!

Iron Cove Venturers are running a secure bike storage area at the event so you can have peace of mind while you enjoy the activities and know that your bike is safe, for a donation of $2. The money raised will go towards outdoor equipment and a new hall and boatshed at Abbotsford which is badly needed. Venturers are a senior Section of Scouts, for male and female youth of ages 14 ½ to 18 years. They meet on Friday nights and on some weekends, go camping and outdoor activities like rock climbing and boating. Your support is welcomed. Come and talk to some of their members if you are interested in Venturers or Scouts.

Take the opportunity to gather information and shop at the many cycling displays or, better still, just relax on the grass with refreshments and enjoy all the live entertainment.

Entries are limited so enter early to avoid disappointment!

The City of Sydney Spring Cycle is organised by Bicycle NSW, with the support of the RTA, NSW Police, hundreds of volunteer route marshals and St John's first aid personnel. We all work together to provide a fun and safe cycle-friendly route through Sydney.

The City of Sydney Spring Cycle also helps fundraise for the MS Society. Get sponsored and be rewarded with great prizes or make a donation. Check out the MS Society webpage here to find out more about Multiple Sclerosis.

Adding to last year's success, this year's event promises to be even better!
